We were in the dome for the excursion tour. Had the tuna salad and antipasti and both were very tasty. Service was excellent. Tea and coffee provided. Beer, wine and pop available for a charge. Loved having the tables and really enjoyed the scenery. Everything from orchards to Mt. Hood. Very relaxing ride. The Ice cream in Parkdale was a... More

We took my elderly parents on the Sunday brunch/lunch train. It's a relaxing 3/12 hr. ride through a beautiful part of Oregon. We saw pear orchards, vineyards, abandoned towns and other small populated towns while traveling through forests along the Hood River. We rode in the dome car and it was very comfortable. The narration on the first part of... More

Enjoyed the train ride. Very relaxing and got a nice view of Mt. Hood. Good way to pass the time while my husband and son where out riding trails. Staff were super friendly. Enjoyed the ride. Only one stop in Parkdale, which is a small small small town

This is an expensive jaunt on a train if you do the Polar Express ride! We did the Diamond Class seating (table configurations) in the evening because I thought it would be more magical, but they don't really have any good Christmas light displays along the route. Do not spend the extra money on the Sky Dome seats for the... More

I would recommend the murder mystery dinner train for a couple. It was a lot of fun. The meal was wonderful and the service was great. The stop in the little town by Mt. Hood was very nice. The murder mystery was a lot of fun. It did not feel like there was air conditioning on the train, however, so... More

We (I have a 4 year old, and 1.5 year old) were very excited for the Dinosaur Train, but were rather disappointed on arrival. The women at the ticket counter seemed out of sorts, and were very short with customers. When we got on the train, I was a little surprised that there were NO decorations other than plastic leaves.... More

Great ride through the orchards and up the mountain. Kids enjoyed the "robbers" and we enjoyed the narrations.

I actually took this train ride in 2012. My parents live where we can look down from their home and see the train station. It is a very slow, gentle ride up the hills where there is a stunning view of Mt. Hood. You can sit on the upper level of a two level train car. This provides some amazing... More

We brought our 4 1/2 year old and he was the perfect age. The 30 minute train ride was just the right length and we loved the sing-along. Each activity at the adventure park was fun but brief, great for his attention span. He was excited to bring home his nature trackers card and the "fossils" he dug up. I... More

Hello! Thanks for taking a moment to tell us about your fantastic experience on the Dinosaur Train! Everyone at the Mount Hood Railroad worked very hard to bring this event to families in Oregon and we're so glad to hear all the positive feedback. We hope to welcome you aboard again! More

We chose to ride the train to escape the heat, see the landscape from this perspective, and besides - it's a great way to support some Oregon history. We watched Mt Hood grow from a tiny, distant peak to a awe inspiring sight that filled the dome car's back windows. We learned much about the local orchards and I'm sure... More
