Worst rip off ever! The train was an hour late. So after arriving an hour early as suggested we stood in the station for 2 hours. The first hour was fine but after that our toddler couldn't take it any more and started melting down....More

We brought our two kids to this ride with high expectations for an experience of Christmas magic. We paid generously for the diamond class, which we very much regretted. The bathrooms and the music system were both out of order, and the lack of music...More

We rode the “Polar Express” as a family at the Mount Hood Railroad on December 8th. I have to place quotes around the title because nothing about this ride had any semblance of the movie. The train arrived 30 minutes late, defeating the purpose of...More

I hate to write a bad review but do feel people should know what they are getting into beforehand. First the positives: very friendly helpful staff who did try to help you in any reasonable way they could. The themed trips, which we did not...More

We booked this adventure as a treat for my train loving son's 5th birthday. It was a 3 hour drive from our home to the train station and if we do it again we'll definitely stay overnight as the town is so cute. We booked...More

The railroad is just that - a railroad spur of about 15 miles or so. But, they put on great themed trips that are worthwhile. Thomas the Tank Engine comes by in the summer sometimes that my kids used to love when they are young....More

Absolutely disappointed in this trip. Parking costs $5, find street parking if you can. Very bumpy train and tracks with disgusting bathrooms. Hard to relax and left extremely tired. Some people were screaming and talking extremely loud with children crawling in the middle aisle and...More

My wife and I enjoyed the scenic ride on the old train through the picturesque Hood river valley. The scenery is spectacular and the ride was very nice and relaxing. The rocking of the train car as it moved up the tracks gave a feel...More

Trip was fun and had a great day to see the mountain and sights along the track. Check in was fine, but you need to arrive early to get this done. People arriving five minutes before the train starts loading (10:30 A.M.) had to wait....More
