Thank you for the review. The WAAAM gift shop is a perfect spot to take home a piece of the museum for the car or airplane enthusiast in one's life. It has items that are great for gifting or to re-live your museum going experience. There is no museum admission required to visit the gift shop either. More

I have always loved airplanes, especially the early era when lots of experimentation took place. Early automobiles are another favorite, and the two were wonderfully combined at the Wester Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River, Oregon. I was surprised to find it there... I thought that I had visited all the airplane and car museums in the northwest.... More

Thank you for reviewing. Because the WAAAM Collection is living history we enjoy having visitors experience not only the sights but sounds and smells of the past. Visit on a Second Saturday to see us start thing up or, as you mentioned, get behind the wheel during our Model T Driving School classes offered during the summer months. More

This is a rare find and a treat for anyone who appreciates airplanes and antique cars. Three full hangers of restored and working airplanes, cars and all the memorabilia that goes with them. The docents there clearly love their jobs and are knowledgeable about most everything there. Plan to spend at least 2 if not 3 hours traveling back in... More

This is one of the most complete antique airplane museums anywhere, with working aircraft. Good collection of autos, trucks and tractors, even some military vehicles, many from the earliest days, many still roadworthy. Some custom cars on display.

Thank you for reviewing. WAAAM focuses on the Golden Age of Aviation and Transportation so our collection consists primarily of objects from the 1900s through the 1950s. We have a large number of supporting artifacts to help bring the collection to life too. To see living history in action visit on the Second Saturday of any month. More

We stopped here because it was snowing by Mt. Hood. It was a great way to spend an afternoon. The people working are fantastic. Most of the planes still fly. The collections of planes, cars, etc. were wonderful. I wish we came on a day they take them out to play.

This museum is a must if you like cars and planes. Just seeing where we came from in engines that are basic to what we have today . I spent a couple of hours just making sure i did not miss anything. Good fascinating place to visit.

Thanks for the review. The average visit to WAAAM, even for those who are not as interested in airplanes and automobiles, runs about two hours long. With our latest expansion opening in November 2016 we have added another half acre of displays so expect a longer venture to see everything. More
