This history museum is located at 410 N Main Avenue, Gresham, Oregon 97030. It is located inside an old library. In fact it was the original Gresham Library, the Carnegie Library. It looks very distinctive. An English Tutor style building from 1912. The building is on the US National Register of Historic Places. The museum is run by the Gresham... More

The museum is in the pretty old Gresham library building. It's tiny, but fun to walk through, and I learned new things. I appreciated that they did not censor Gresham's history, but presented the bad alongside the good.

Although the hours are limited this little piece of east county offers some interesting history. Love the pictures and the building. Easy walk through and educational.

My husband and I found out there was a historical walking tour in Gresham and it started at this museum. On the stairs of this museum, the guild told us that this building, (built in 1913) was one of 25 out of 31 public library's in Oregon that was built with a construction grant paid by Andrew Carnegie, (a philanthropist).... Unless you are from here, I don't think it would thrill a visitor. It's about the history of this area. It's close to the river, and the train. NOt all people are into that kind of thing.
