Went snow tubing with my teenage son and his friend. The reason for the one star is because the tubing was completely lame. The slope is not very steep, nor high and the runs were slow. The staff wouldn't let us do anything to make it more fun, like go down backwards or even sit in the tube (you are required to lay on your stomach). This would be an OK place for kids 6 and under.

Embarrassing
Jan 2021
I have been skiing at Skibowl for years (it's the closest to my house), and as a veteran, always take advantage of the military discounts for active and retired military. It has never been a problem before. However, on 01/19/2021 I went in to buy my ski pass and told the lady working there that I am a veteran. She informed me that Skibowl has changed the policy, that instead of a discounted lift ticket, I am to buy a ticket at full price and then bring it in at the end of the day in exchange for a guest pass to use at a later date. At the end of my ski day I went in to guest services with my pass to exchange. But when I told the lady I am a veteran she acted like I was lying. (As a female I have become accustomed to many years of people not believing me when I say I'm a veteran.) So I showed her my military ID. She then said that Skibowl has changed their policy, that it's for active military only and that veterans have been "cut from the program". I was embarrassed because the lady was being snobby and acting like I wanted something for nothing, and I felt set up because the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning didn't say anything about veterans "being cut". When I left the resort I looked on the internet and found that the page about military discounts. The page clearly says "active and retired members of the military". It didn't say anything about veterans "being cut". If veterans have been indeed "cut from the program", then why is it still on the website? And if it's true that veterans have been cut, then why didn't the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning not know of the new policy? I telephoned both Meadows and Timberline this morning who have assured me that their discounts for active and retired military have not changed. In fact the guy at Timberline said what I experienced at Skibowl "does not sound right at all". I will be skiing at Meadows and Timberline for now on, not because of the so-called "policy change", but because of the difference in what I was told vs what I read on the website, and because of the difference of "knowledge" between the employees. I will be writing my experience on review pages just so that no other veteran (especially female who do get the brunt of discrimination) gets set up the way I was and goes through this.

Excellent customer service!
Dec 2020 • Family
I have never been to mount hood before, and was trying to salvage a trip we had planned before Covid shutdowns complicated our adventure. The representative I spoke with via Skibowl's chat help line on 12/1/20 not only answered my questions promptly but went above and beyond to give me recommendations for our stay that helped us plan some fun while also operating within the governor's covid safety guidelines. It was very appreciated and I will definitely remember how helpful they were when planning future trips.

Excellent Customer Service

Excellent customer service and prompt follow up. We were upgrading from a Ski Bowl season pass to a Fusion Pass and Timberline was having some issues with their system. Ski bowl kept us up to date on all progress and expectations as to when we would be able to get our pass.

Such a fun afternoon
Sep 2020
We visited on Labor Day weekend. It was crowded, but due to COVID, less crowded than a typical holiday weekend. We did the Alpine Slide, the zip lines -- and in a first for my wife and I, the bungee jump. It was a little scary, but exciting.

Don't waste your money!
Aug 2020
The park was filthy and staff was very dismissive. Not all attractions were staffed. It was more like a cheap carnival that travels through town. We were most excited for the Alpine Slide. Got to the top of the hill and waited about 30 minutes to get on the ride, Staff at the top and bottom were rude to guests. One in our party had a faulty cart that would not run on the track, and had to get off the track and walk down the hill. We reported this to staff at the bottom who said the cart was faulty and just the "luck of the draw." (As we watched them attach the chair to go back up in rotation for going down the hill. When we got to the bottom we asked if just the one family member could get a new cart and go down the hill bypassing the line due to the situation. The "manager" at the bottom of the Alpine Slide said he has no control over the line. There is so much beauty in and around Mt. Hood - don't waste your money on this waste of time.

Just ok, rude staff
Jul 2020 • Family
Went to the adventure park on an extremely hot day which was probably not the best idea but lines were short. Also, because of covid they require you to purchase tickets online ahead of time to limit the amount sold. I bought the package thinking we’d want to try it all. The East/west parks you have to drive back and forth to. We had fun on the alpine slide but the guys running the chairlift were so rude. Most of the staff running the rides looked bored and like they’d rather be anywhere else. The guys operating the bungee trampoline didn’t know what they were doing. The mini golf area had trash all over and we were there early...obviously had been there awhile. I’d go back for the slide but would not buy the package deal. Waste of money. Management needs to emphasize friendliness with their staff.

Disrespected..
Feb 2020 • Family
First off, my family had a lot of fun! The people working from 5-7pm on 2/28/2020 at the cosmic tubing event were extremely disrespectful and unprofessional not only to adults, but to smaller children as well. There needs to be a training on how to treat customers, because I have never experienced something this out of line before!

Few crowds, easy parking, figure things out on your own

First of all, their information is very confusing. Listed are lift ticket prices and list of snowboard rental and ski rental. On their literature i believe that DAYS and HOURS should be listed at the TOP of the page, not bottom. We went on a Thursday wanting to go snowboarding and skiing and to buy a lift ticket from 1-close. When we got there we were told ski place doesn't open until 3 p.m. that day. NOT OBVIOUS! In addition, there is no need to buy a lift ticket if you are just learning yourself or want to practice on the bunny hill. We rented equipment for $30 at outfitter store in Welches, OR (about 12 miles from skibowl). Only worth renting from skibowl if you plan on taking lessons. There is a lodge to get food and beverages but everything is expensive. Do yourself a favor and bring your own food and drinks. Admittedly, I'm from Colorado and used to world-class ski areas. This is NOT that. Parking permit is needed to park in the lot for the day. We purchased from the outfitter in Welches. You can buy at Skibowl, too. $5 for day (that was a Thursday).
