As my husband and I were traveling around Mount Hood National Forest, we ran into this lake. This is a calm lake with a gorgeous view of Mount Hood reflected into it. I was completely mesmerized by the view. It was an early Friday morning, so it was still quiet with hardly any people. It was peaceful and a perfect place to relax. To leave the area of the lake, the GPS led us down a very bumpy, 5-25 mph road.…

We stumbled upon this lake. Didn’t intend to come here and not from Oregon at all but this was the best part of the day trip! The park is wonderful and feels like a real camping experience. The park had shelters for cooking and picnic tables! Plenary of camping area. The lake was breathtaking! A wonderful trail around the lake for walking! Beautiful views of mount hood! Can’t wait to come back here and stay for the weekend! …

Had reservations for several nights at Trillium Lake Campground. Campsites were large and fairly private. Had more than enough room for two tents. The vault toilets were well maintained and stocked throughout the day. Very convenient to stay here and hike many nearby trails on and around Mt. Hood. Bring your own firewood as there is none for sale in the campground or in the nearby town.…

Good area to go boating or fishing or just to walk around. Good views of Mount Hood. The parking can fill up pretty quick, so plan around that. Definitely would recommend this if you enjoy being out on the water with good views.

My wife and I arrived at Trillium Lake about 7:45am and were rewarded with stunning views of Mt. Hood as we walked the entire lake trail. This is a flat, well-maintained, wide trail with many places for mountain and lake picture spots, as well as the variety provided as it veers NW up and around a large marshy area with wildflowers, lilly pads, and woodland views. There are many campsites around the lake, as well as crowds arriving later in the morning, so go early before the former venture out and the latter arrive to crowd this beauty spot up. Well worth the trip in summer--and is also a stunning spot for winter snowshoeing and cross country skiing on the very same lake trail.…
