Great for walking, crabbing, fishing charters, photography

We went crabbing, walked around town, watched the big of clans, took pictures of the docks and boats, had lots of fun. You can rent a boat to go out and go crabbing with all of... read more

I'm not sure what use to be here but when we were there (November 18 - 19) the building was empty. It is still a nice walk down the pier and there is a great opportunity to take some great pictures. Maybe there is something there during the summer but I'm not sure.

Probably not worth a specific trip but a good place to stop if passing on Highway 101 or if you are aiming to ride the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad.

We found this cool area as we wandered up the coast. We stopped and checked out the boats in the harbor.

We went crabbing, walked around town, watched the big of clans, took pictures of the docks and boats, had lots of fun. You can rent a boat to go out and go crabbing with all of the equipment you need for about $60 or you can go along one of the piers and drop your crab pots down into the... More

It was fun being there during clam season opening. In the morning the tide was at a minus and there were people out in the bay clamming.

This is one of my favorite spots on the Oregon Coast, and great news, it's free to visit and take in the epic view of Tillamook Bay, plus watch the locals crab and fish off the pier, and plus it's great way to exercise by walking across the pier and back.

Unlike many other towns on the Oregon coast, Garibaldi seems to be a fishing village, rather than a resort area. My husband and I stopped in Garibaldi to walk the pier. There are two in close proximity, but if you take the wrong one (as we first did), a local will point you in the right direction. As expected, we... More

Astounding view from the pier, easy walk and peaceful setting. You can catch a train to Rockaway from here and there are several eateries close by to get a bite of lunch.

This spot is easy to access via a paved walk behind RV park then cross RR track or walk down them if after hours of Steam train rides. Walk out to end to see fishing or crabbing specific spots. You can see grooves in rail from pulling ropes with crab traps. It will be closed for repair but that may... More
