Fun easy hike for family of all ages. The beach is clean, and the tide pools are interesting. We have been back to this trail 3 times. I highly recommend this trail even if you just need to stretch your legs.

The trail drops down below the landscape almost like a tunnel and leads to another trail which takes one behind Heceta Head Light.

This is a nice short walk to the beach on a nice fairly wide trail. With the new parking area, the trail gets a lot of use and so it doesn't feel that secluded and is suffering a bit from overuse.

Amazing! Beautiful beyond belief. The hike was moderate incline on return, but the beauty was worth having to rest.

Nice trail - little "hobbit holes" in the woods to peak into. Beautiful secluded beach. Trail had some small hills, could be a slippery when wet in places but that is with any trail in the woods.

Out of this world magical experience. It's kind of hard to find the entrance to the trail, but it's well worth the trouble searching for it. Entering the trail you are transported to this magical out of this world place where at the end you...More

Where is the Hobbit Trail actually located at? I have been trying to find the trail, but keep missing in on 101 - is there a mile marker close to the trail head?

Hi everyone. Is it safe to go to the Hobbit Trail in mid-May? I heard that it is bear season, but not sure if it affects that area? Thank you.
