This is a forest within a city, high on a hilltop. The azaleas and rhododendron are beautiful when in bloom. There are lots of other flowering bushes as well. There are nice picnic facilities, too.

I have been coming up to this park even as far back as when they had Elk, and Deer pens. The park is great, and so pretty. I go there every time when I go to Eugene.

My wife grew up in Eugene and never tires of going to Hendricks Park. It changes with the seasons. The tall trees and the trails and the fabulous rhododendron gardens. One of my favorite viewpoints to look out over Eugene.
