Eugene is known as the 'Running Capitol of the World' and the fact is, if you are a 'street/trail runner Eugene is AWESOME!! The Rexius Trail is quiet and very natural. I love it for running or walking. AND it connects to additional trails, so if you are in the mood for a longer run/walk you can extend your time.

If you want to go for a run or a walk while in Eugene, this is a very good place. It is a soft trail right in town, and there are no cars to worry about while using the trail. There is an easy 1 mile loop walk you can do in a nice green area that is part of... More

A nice, flat place to run dirt in the City of Eugene, along a creek. As a tourist, I never felt threatened by the homeless people who camp near the creek or under bridges.

Horrible scary trail, not pretty, not in nature and not safe. If you are on a bike or if you can run fast is the only way I would recommend this path

This long trail takes you to the headwaters of Amazon Creek along a wide median, up one side then down the other, with only a couple of street crossings in many miles of comfortable running surface. Also good for a walk, though the scenery gets a bit samesame. Highly recommended for distance running training.

I live close to the Rexius trail. In fact my border collie and I walk or run this trail daily in the morning. It is is circle that spans approximately 3.5 miles near East and West Amazon, connecting to the Ridgeline Trail at Martin Street. One reason I love it is because I can watch the seasons change over time;... More

This trail is very popular with local runners and walkers (many with dogs in tow). It is located parallel to the Amazon Creek which has been restored by the City with a variety of plantings so it is now much more pleasant to look at than in the past. The trail is maintained with bark mulch which for the most... More

Nice trail for running or walking. I like the "bounce" that spares my back. And the bark helps keep your shoes clean during the local winter monsoons. It is a nice refuge from the roads yet it is urban.
