The Willamette meanders from the mountains down through the Willamette Valley and up to Portland. You can fish or boat on it, you can swim or White Water Raft on it. Great vacation place. and there are campgrounds on it too.

There are some nice area for bank fishing this river. The only thing that would make it better is if the bums found somewhere else to live. Way too many of them.

Especially when in the Eugene area. Many trails follow this pastoral flowing river. Either walk, jog or bike your way for hours!

The Willamette River runs directly through Eugene and offers endless entertainment opportunities! We often bike on the river paths which border the river on both sides. Massive Alton Baker Park and Skinners Butte Park provide lovely sites for running, picnics and water sports. Canoes and...More

One of the gems of the emerald city, I always like to visit the path beside the river and Alton Baker Park when in Eugene, if possible.

Well, I suppose it's easier to review a river than, say, the Pacific Ocean, but it still feels odd. The part of the Willamette that divides Eugene and Springfield is certainly scenic by urban standards. It's natural beauty has not been completely compromised by developers...More

Whether you want to swim, raft, kayak, or fish, the Willamette River is a wonderland of fun and recreation. Many places in the Eugene/Springfield area to access the river. Clean cold water direct from the mountains will thrill you many times over!!
