We have seen many of the top stars in track and field at Hayward Field as they all recognize the significance of this venue and its historic personages, such as Bill Bowman and Steve Prefontaine, and want to compete here. The magic of the locations seems to boost everyone's performances and many personal bests and new records are achieved here.... More

So exciting to find out during our visit was All-Comers night at Hayward Field. My husband and sons were able to take part and run on the track. All three are runners and have done cross country in high school. The organizers were very helpful and got them signed up quickly. It was a blast to watch them run on... More

We watch the US Track and Field trials here. This place is truly nostalgia. A must place to visit while in Eugene.

I live just about 5 blocks away from this wonderful track field and have had the luxury of being able to see the Oregon Track meets for several years. In addition the Olympic Trials. What a beautiful thing to watch our top notch athletics doing thier best.

I live six blocks from Hayward Field. There is no denying its significance. Most of the time it is a dead waste of space that gets in my way on a daily basis. But on those rare occasions when it lights up, magic happens. Not something to visit unless there is a major event publicized.

On a recent trip to Eugene, Oregon, we had to make sure that we stopped by this historic location as we are track/field enthusiasts. It was extremely easy to find. Very convenient parking right in front. Great opportunities for photos right out front. Wish we could have gone in, but it was gated and locked. Loved the Olympic directional signs... More

We visited Hayward Field at the University of Oregon. It is a well known track and field stadium in the United States. Hayward Stadium was built in 1919.

Hayward Field is full of history of track & field. I got to there twice last week, once about 7 pm Tuesday when the gates were locked and again at 11 am Wed when a gate was open and I got to sit in the stands but didn't get on the track because some athletes were using it. I also... More
