This place held me in awe, be sure to walk the entire ocean side as the view changes and amazes at each curve and angle, cliffs and waves stunning, the botanic gardens are free and just beautiful, the gift shop is large and more than postcards souvenirs, garden jewelry decor pottery etc

Visited in the afternoon and was amazed by the beauty of the surroundings. The botanical gardens were just spectacular. Highly recommend spending an afternoon here...

Gardens were restored in the late 1970's. The plants are mature now but not maintained as well as it once was. Still, the garden layout is classic with a layout similar to the original Simpson layout.

We were exploring the coastline, dipping into every state park along the way south to see the stacked rocks at Banden. We enjoyed the Shore Acres ocean overlook and only on our way out, we spotted the botanical gardens' stately columns and stopped to see what it was. We were soon intoxicated by the immense beauty of the gardens and... More

We love coming to this park. It's a wonderful combination of stately gardens where you can wander quietly among the rhododendrons and seasonal displays, and wild nature where you can stand on a cliff and watch waves crash against the rocks below while listening to sea lions barking farther south along the coast.

The gardens were beautiful as always - Daffodils and tulips in bloom (on March 25th) and spectacular magnolias. Enjoyed hiking to the rugged cliffs north of the gardens and the peaceful ocean cove on the south. We were lucky to get a cool, clear day with very few other visitors. This is always a favorite place for our 3 generations... More

We visited the park, which was a private estate. There are many cultural events held through the out the year. 2016 say a boom in youth numbers we had Xmas year of lighted trees shrubs and imagination. 2016 had donations and the biggest display ever. 2017 bigger cost $5..

One of our favorite places on the south Oregon coast - right in our own back yard! Beaches, cliffs, forests - trails all over to enjoy or spend time in the beautiful garden.

Everything about this place is majestic. The waves crashing on the rocks, the cliffs, and the paths. The botanical gardens are a nice addition also. There's a cute little gift shop and a observation building. We loved it.
