The Bridge of the Gods started operation in 1926 and is the third oldest bridge on the Columbia River. It is a steel cantilever bridge that spans the Columbia River 4 miles east of the Bonneville Dam. It connects Oregon’s I-84 highway the to Washington State’s SR-14. It is 1,858 feet long, 35 feet wide, and stands 140 feet above... More

The Columbia River is a wide one. Places to cross from Washington to Oregon are few and far between. Bridge of Gods crosses the river between Stevenson, Washington, and Cascade Locks, Oregon. A trip across this toll bridge affords great views of the Columbia both upriver and downriver. Well worth the two buck toll charge...

Whenever I have out of town guests I always take them for a fun ride through the Columbia River Gorge with a roundtrip over the Bridge of the Gods. It looks like a giant erector set project and costs $2 per trip. Great view from the bridge in this very slow crossing. Highly recommend.

We came at sunrise. We crossed the river twice in a matter of an hour. Well worth the $4 we spent. Gorgeous view from Washington side.

The neat looking bridge takes you from one side to another for travel between Oregon and Washington. They do charge a small fee of $2 each way so be prepared.

I wouldn't go just to see the bridge, but the drive out to Cascade Locks has a lot of nice attractions along the way and this is one of them.

Decided to take a slight detour to visit this locale. The drive was beautiful as were the sites. Paid the small fee to drive across the bridge, took some photos, then came right back over.

For the life of me I can't understand why they are allowed t charge a fee to go over this bridge. It is not special in any way. Maybe has a story behind it but certainly not unique in any stretch of the imagination Our hotel Best Western was located facing this bridge. Our room view was overlooking this bridge.... More

If you go to Beacon Rock or the Bonneville hydroelectric plant you will cross this super cool bridge. I wouldn't make a long drive just to see this awesome structure, but if you're going other places in the area it is totally worth the $4 round trip.

The Bridge is a great example of old engineering and remarkable structure spanning this section of the Columbia. Love the $2.00 toll, keeps people employed and I suspect helps pay for the paint.
