Nice setting and wines are very good, but.......

Took friends that were visiting from out of town out tasting. Good Pinots that sell for $60+ a bottle. Very nice and quaint tasting room. No one else there - empty. I was... read more

Ken Wright makes fantastic wines. His tasting room team was knowledgable, friendly and didn't rush us - perhaps our experience differed from other reviews because we went early, were the only ones there and therefore got to spend some 1:1 time with the servers. Great location in the remodeled Carlton train depot. Small downside: the minimum purchase was steep to... More

Took friends that were visiting from out of town out tasting. Good Pinots that sell for $60+ a bottle. Very nice and quaint tasting room. No one else there - empty. I was embarrassed when my friends shared their opinion after we left. Tasting fee was steep $20 per person for four to five tastes. Tasting fee only waived if... More

The reason why we started loving Oregon wines was after drinking a bottle of Ken Wright several years ago. So we made it a point to visit Ken Wright Cellars, although it was 45 minutes further than all the other wineries on our itinerary. The wine was good; consistent with our expectations. But the winery was difficult to find, looks... More

Four of us were doing a wine tasting trip and visited the very cool Ken Wright tasting room in Carlton. They've taken over and renovated the original train depot and it's really nice. So we had great wines, very friendly and knowledgeable servers, and a fascinating environment all rolled into one stop. Highly recommended!

Ken Wright Cellars has converted an old train station into an attractive tasting room. My wife had heard a friend comment favorably about their wines so we resolved to go visit next time we were in the area. We were a little surprised that the charge for tasting was $25 per person, but we decided to go ahead. We were... More

If I could give it zero stars I would! So disappointed in this tasting room. Went here upon the recommendation of a good friend. Could not have been more upset at how they treated us. The wines are no longer what they used to be and the service was awful. Did not finish any of our wines and they insisted... More

As you can see from my other reviews, I'm a wine enthusiast with extensive wine tasting experiences during my travels. This tasting was one of my worst. I often post a review of the ones that stand out and generally don't post a review of the ones that are average or poor. I usually make appointments ahead of time rather... More

Ken Wright is a must for visitors to the Willamette Valley as he has been making Pinots for over 30 years and it shows in his wines. An elegant tasting room crafted from the old Carlton rail depot is a great spot to experience his products. The tastings are extremely well run and is one of the few wineries where... More

Very tasty pinots located in an old train depot in downtown Carlton, OR. Very charming but a little pricey. Overall fantastic quality and taste.
