There are a lot of beaches to visit nearby, but Harris Beach definitely stands out. You can spend a lot of time walking around here. It’s really beautiful!

We stayed for a few days and used the park as a base to explore the scenic corridor. The beach itself is worth s visit and there is a great panorama from the Butte trail. The campsites were well maintained - great showers!

There is a nice overlook from the main road just as you are leaving the north end of town You get the view without the climbing.

Easy path down to the beach, beautiful topside pullouts to take in the ocean view. Can't speak to the campground (I'm a local!), but it's one of my favorite places to watch the ocean or walk my dog (on a leash, of course!)

Gorgeous beach, with great walking at low tide. Big drawback is the people that ignore the "leashes required" signs and allow their dogs to terrorize one and all. Carry pepper spray.

If you have a paid reservation, a late check in time is not a problem. We have checked in many times after the booth closed, so all we did was found a site, then register and put money in the pay envelope. Hope you love... More

I do believe fishing is allowed. Never did it myself, but I have seen fishermen casting into the surf.
