In spite of the unprecedented snow storm, we very much enjoyed the coast and the beautiful sun and ocean.

This year, for my 38th birthday, my husband and I booked a yurt at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Oregon. We arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and met with our park hosts. They were extremely friendly and we chit chatted a bit before they gave us our key and sent us on our way. Oregon has been having major... More

We were out to spot the migrating whales. The beach area is clean and easy to manage. We didn't see any whales but maybe we were a week early.

The Oregon coast is so stunning and the views from Harris Beach are some of the best. Beach access is easy as well as ample parking. Great for a lunch stop on the way up the caost. Camping near bu also.

My husband and I just moved from New York to Brookings, arriving two days ago. We had to go to beautiful Harris Beach and let the ocean roll over our feet. This spot is so pristine, majestic, and unspoiled. Incredibly maintained by the rangers. It is winter here and we have places like this to ourselves, but come summer, the... More

We were lucky and got an amazing visit to this beach. 57 degrees and simply lovely!!! We did some beach combing and even found a couple of pieces of driftwood to take home with us.

Stayed here in a TT. Lovely views and walks on the beach. Several RV sites have cable TV and some with ocean views!

Saw about 35 species in this area including tufted puffins, cormorants, murres, warblers, phoebes. Take your scope for the puffins and other seabirds.

We pulled in here on Saturday morning when the weather was 40 mph wind and steady rain and it was still beautiful. The campground (RV's) in the upper area was nearly full 2 days after thanksgiving and in horrible weather. The park area isn't all that big but the views are unreal, the birds the islands and the beach are... More

Oregon parks knows what they are doing and each park I've visited is more outstanding than the last. we stayed a couple of days at Thanksgiving, in a camper. Hookups were 29 bucks for a site that had cable, water and electric. The tent sites were located towards the main road and seemed to collect water more easily than the... More
