Nice place for a stop along the hiway. It's got a beautiful visitors center with the beach and ocean right behind it. You can take a walk along the beach or the river

Oregon coast is beautiful with stoning views a lot of point views places where you can take a breath taken pics you must come and see yourself, this place is amazing clean and the facilities are well kept don't take my word just see yourself........

very nice facility and friendly people to help at visitors desk. Nice beach, very clean. The winchuck river runs out to the ocean, great place for kids to play.

We stopped in here very quickly to get a good view and get some help at the visitor center. They have tons of brochures and helpful staff to answer questions. Lots of steps to get in and out of the building though..

You can probably find boat rentals for the Chetco River in Brookings; also *maybe* for the Smith River just across the CA border. Try a general Google search. I do not know of any boat rentals for the Winchuck.
