what a beautiful place

We had time to travel up the road for a mile to see these falls and we are so glad we did. Just to see these falls pouring over a mountain is so pretty. Go and bring a camera

What an amazing hike. We hiked from Wahkeena Falls to Fairy Falls. The beginning of the hike is paved switchbacks, which get a little boring. Once you reach the top, there is an overlook over the valley. The well maintained trail continues past flowing streams and moss covered trees. Print a trail map out ahead of time from the website.... This is a moderate, beautiful and well maintained trail for any type of hiker. The views along the way are nice, but once you get up to final part of Angels Rest, the views of the Columbia River Gorge are out of this world. It's definitely a stunning panoramic view of the river with the mountain ranges in the background.... More

This trail is a must do if you are visiting the Columbia River Gorge. The forest surrounding offers some interesting views due to a previous fire...exposed charred trees. The hike is approx. 2.5 miles one way, and if you want a more strenuous hike keep going past Angel's Rest, to Devils Rest and complete the loop.

This was a heckuva workout to get to the top. The view at the top is really cool. The out and back will take you a couple hours to go the 2 miles or so. If you're afraid of heights, there's a couple hairy spots, but otherwise really not that bad - coming from someone who is afraid of heights.

Nice maintained trails to the fall, offers lots of fresh air and an amazing view once you get to the falls. Some areas are steep, so hiking with a child or a pet would be dangerous.

Went memorial day weekend so it was very busy and highway close by was noisy but view was still incredible. Steep climb up but view was worth every minute. Good family activity. Do early in day when crowds maybe thinner.

This is a beautiful, well used trail with ready access. I could hear freeway noise the entire time so that's why I rate it average. Not steep, just a steady incline. Green. Moist earth scent. Pretty overlooks.

My only beef with this trail is it doesn't have good distance markers (if any) so you don't know what you're in for until you're stuck up the mountain! Beautiful sights though.

Hiked Angels Rest Trail today. Trailhead is located at mile marker 28 just off of I-84. Parking is about 1/4 mile from the freeway. Weekend parking is at a premium, arrive early. We were told not to leave valuables in sight in cars. The trail climbs steady from the parking lot with beautiful views of the gorge. After hiking about... More
