We went to the Columbia River Gorge and went to see Multnomah Falls the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. It was the busiest I have seen it (expected of course). The falls were as beautiful as ever.

Spectacular waterfalls. You can walk to a bridge where the falls split. Dress in layers, as it often rains. There is a gift shop restaurant.

No trip along the Columbia River Gorge would be complete without a visit to Multnomah Falls. Parking can get to be a problem on busy days, and watch out on the narrow access road. Once you're there, it's an easy walk to the base, and...More

These falls are better than any words I could use to describe them, or any pictures I took. This was my second visit. I really wanted my friend to see them, too. They are just so beautiful and so unusual. Highly recommended

Just a couple of hundred yards from parking to the base of the falls make this ideal fir smaller children. The falls are amazing - we could have stayed for an hour listening to and feeling the pounding. It is truly grand and dramatic. Be...More

So beautiful, but my pics are not that good. We got there just before noon and the sun wrecked all my pics. It was also really crowded at that time. Next time we'll go to the falls early in the day or wait until dusk....More

Hoping I'll get some answers before we visit the falls tomorrow. We'll be traveling from Portland and we'll have our 18-mo old with us. Is it best to take the stroller or carry her? I'm assuming based on what I'm reading that we'll likely only make it to the first stop b/c from there it's steep... is that accurate? Also where is the best place to park considering we'll have a toddler?

We did see a few strollers on our way to the falls. You can manage with the stroller. There are a couple of one-step up areas that you would need to pick it up, but that's all. We just went to the bridge which is amazing... More
Can you recommend some good hikes at or around Multnomah Falls (4-5 miles) and other worthwhile waterfalls to visit? We have a rental car for one day. Thank you! :)
