We went to the lake to paddle our kayaks because there are no motors allowed on the lake. The wind was too great for one of our paddlers so we just ate lunch and left. It is a national forest day use area so a...More

Absolutely gorgeous! A little quieter than Sparks Lake. Paddling through the area seeing more big fish than I have ever seen in the wild. Great mountain views. A must see place.

Easy boat launch for kayaking. Parking was pretty full, but it was a busy day. The water is crystal clear and you can see several types of trout swimming underneath. The view is excellent for South Sister Mountain, Broken Top Mountain, and Mount Bachelor. We...More

We used to bypass kayaking at Hosmer because it looked like a very small pond. I couldn't understand why there were so many cars in the parking lot. A friend told me you need to follow the trail through the reeds to get out into...More

This is my favorite lake to kayak or paddle board on. The lake is large, so even though there tends to be a lot of people, once you are on the water, you can find your own litle nook to hang out in and eat...More

This was a beautiful little lake for Kayaking with views of Sisters and Bachelor. Really enjoyed this peaceful paddle.

Hosmer Lake is very popular with the kayak loving folks. It is quiet and serene and beautiful and well worth spending some time there. The best part is you don't have to drive for miles and miles to get there.

I don't know about canoe rentals in the camping area but some of the companies in town rent canoes and kayaks because I've seen their trailers in the parking area. They hold about 10 boats so they must do it on a regular... More

there is one primo spot that is not in the campground, which is right on the water. Accessible only by boat, and probably pretty hard to get, because there's always someone there when I paddle by. Head north towards... More
