The visitor center had great educational displays. I go for the nature trails. They wander through forest and near water. I see many birds and often other animals. If you like native plants, they are here too.

This is a great little hidden secret of Mohawk Park. There are multiple hiking trails. Suitable for all ages. You can do a 1/2 mile hike with small children or like my husband and I, we hiked for a couple of hours (probably 3-4 miles). The trails are very easy to navigate and the scenery is beautiful. All of trails... More

A great place to walk with nature. Both trees, animals, birds. Grey squirrels, cottontail rabbits. You name it, it is life in relative tranquility.

We are frequent visitors and see something different every time -- this time it was snake day! Also saw Canadian geese with six babies, trumpeter swan, deer (usually on Woodpecker Trail). It helps to be quiet, pause and be observant.

Well maintained and wide, easy hiking nature trails with an informative starting lodge. Easy access just north of Mohawk Park main entrance.

My family went here in the past to enjoy the outdoors. The only thing that could have been better would be to have the trails more obviously labeled. There were areas that we thought we were lost because there wasn't adequate signage.

My kids and I always love coming here. It's so nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and just walk the trails in the woods. We always see neat little critters, plants, tracks, scat and more. It's just refreshing to be out there in the woods. We see just a couple other people as we... More

I love Oxley Nature Center. It is a great get away from the city. There are plenty of trails to walk, nature to see, and it is all in the city's Mohawk Park. The Park's nature center house a great gift shop and restroom facilities. In the warmer months watch out for ticks - there are lots of them. Male... More

Great place with trails though we weren't able to explore them due to a time crunch. The nature center has great displays and a few interactive activity for the kids. Also a small little shop with an abundance of fun nature-related items. My only complaint, we got there at 10:10, hours show it opens at 10, doors weren't opened until... More
