Yes it is off the beaten path but I'd still recommend it. Nice park setting with well tended grounds. It has been open since 1936 and therefore has a lot of genuine artifacts.

Beautiful grounds, learned a lot about Sequoyah. Too bad the gift shop was closed. Lovely especially in the fall.

I went there on a Saturday- Can't remember for sure- think it was open until early afternoon....
