What a great little museum! The staff was so friendly and even let me hold a real pigeon that they bring there when the museum is open. There are displays and artwork that is all pigeon related. I have an interest in military pigeon history from wars and I got to see so much historical things of interest in that... More

Who knew that there was so much variety in pigeons? They have a very good video on pigeons, interesting artifacts from pigeon fanciers the world over, including Queen Elizabeth, and racing memorabilia.

I enjoyed this small museum, which focuses on the history of messenger pigeons. While it is off the beaten path, it is worth a visit.

We were a bit skeptical but the previous reviews were right on the money. This museum is awesome. You not only learn the history of pigeons but you actually get to see many different breeds and hold/pet birds (to include Elvis)... way cool. The staff was fantastic. Perfect for all ages and certainly a great visit. We highly recommend.

Whenever I visit a place I like to find the destinations that are a little bit off the beaten path and/or unique to the place. Let's face it--just about any city the size of Oklahoma City is going to have your standard attractions like a science museum, a zoo, and some general-interest art galleries. When I learned that Oklahoma City... More

You know? Everything there is to know about pigeons cannot be found in a book, but they have something wonderful here! There are live pigeons to greet you and when you walk into this air conditioned space it's mind blowing! There is so much there it can hardly be done in one visit! There is a lot to see and... More

This museum is very well maintained and is full of interesting information. I never knew pigeon keeping was so popular, nor did I know pigeon racing was a thing. The best part, in my opinion, was getting to see all the different varieties of pigeons outside and getting to pet and hold them. For a free museum, the visit was... More

We were the only visitors on a Friday afternoon. Extremely educational: how Europeans brought pigeons to North America, and how pigeons have flourished in every urban setting. Military role of pigeons carrying messages. Amazing.

We had seen a movie about courier pigeons and Allied forces during wars, especially in Belgium. Then passed the museum on the way to the national cowboy museum. Stopped in and was very education on Pidgeon history. The Docents were so friendly and answered all questions. We held some pigeons and learned Doves are pidgeons! Our friends returned with there... This museum, although you might not imagine it at first glance, is a very well done museum and a great and informative way to use an hour. A must see!
