The Pollard Theatre displays the performances of local Guthrie actors. They have an amazing Territorial Christmas Carol production during the holidays they do annually. The seats are comfortable enough while you are enraptured in their story telling abilities. You will feel like you are part of the production. The actors are warm and inviting. My only complaint is the price.... More

Very quaint historical theater with comfortable amenities. It was a great play as well. Come early to stroll around the different shops, and get a bite to eat at one of the restaurants. Guthrie is a must see.

Have been to several quality productions in this historic theater. An easy drive from the Oklahoma City, Edmond, Enid, Perry, and Stillwater areas or even farther. Much better than going to the movies and great for family fun depending on the play or a wonderful date night. Come for the evening or spend the afternoon in downtown Guthrie and then... More

Went up to see the annual play, as usual it was well done. Some of the actors are the same but every year they have new ones. I took my mom to it as she had never been, she also enjoyed it. To her the acoustics of the theater make it easy to hear.

Have not made it this year. I have been maybe 8-10 times over the past years. Great variety of shows and the acting is wonderful. Always worth my time.

The Pollard Theater in Historic DownTown Guthrie is a step back in time. Originally constructed as a vaudeville theater in 1919 by George Pollard, who was elected mayor of Guthrie a year later. The Pollard evolved with the times, soon hosting silent films and then talkies. The Pollard was considered the first all-sound motion picture theater and was renamed "Melba".... More

Went to the Pollard/Territorial Christmas because my wife was given tickets. Didn't expect much--after all, it is just an old, small theater in Guthrie. What we found was an excellent performance of and old classic. Probably not an every year experience but one we will be back to.

We LOVE, LOVE the Pollard! We have been here numerous times and have always had a great time. It is small, quaint, and intimate while providing OUTSTANDING performances and sets that rival some of the productions we have seen in OKC and Tulsa main theaters. We have season tickets to the Broadway shows in the metro area, and still enjoy... More

The Pollard Theatre boasts a professional theatre company with year-round productions. We've enjoyed fantastic productions over the last 20 years. We find the production of "A Territorial Christmas Carol" to be a superb: Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" (with Scrooge) set in early territorial Oklahoma is a great production. With the orchestra, special effects and moving stage scenes (stage... More
