Park has extensive trails through woods and Fields. some of the trails are exceptionally long and proper Footwear is recommended. The park is very scenic has some water that you can walk along with trails along the Vermilion River.

Came here for the car show. It's a great park and well organized event they have every year. Lots of hiking trails, duck pond, skipping rocks, picnic areas, this place has it all for a day of fun.

I am a little biased towards this particular metropark, since I proposed to my wife there. There's nice light hiking, good picnic areas, and lots of windy river that you can play in or hunt crayfish.

Many year round activities. Highlights include the car show in august and sledding in winter. It's great for the kids. Is also a great destination for cycling ( motor and peddle). Also great canoeing and fishing.
