The old mill was a busy place on a sunny fall weekend but there were still spaces available in the gravel parking lot. The ice cream viewing tour was closed off due to covid restrictions, but the gift shop and ice cream store were open with face coverings required. Had a big family in front of us but the staff was fast and friendly. filling the big order quickly so we had very little wait time. The cones, floats. malts, and sundaes cost more than something from Dairy Queen, but the DQ doesn't have Apple Cobbler or Pumpkin Cheesecake sundaes, either, which is what my son and I ordered. There is indoor seating for probably 50 people, but only one table was in use on such a nice day. Like most others, we opted to eat outside by the duck pond and the buckeye grove. We also bought a bag of duck food for fifty cents and fed the assorted ducks on site, although I think they were getting pretty full and might sink if they took in much more. By the way, do you know how to get down from an elephant? You don't- you get down from a duck! Rest rooms on site and the building is accessible. Be careful going in and out of the very narrow two lane drive. A visitor turning off the highway assumed it was one way and very nearly hit me head on as I was turning out.…

We were staying in Granville & drove here just to see the Mill & get ice cream. Such a cute place I saw many families sitting on benches around the lake watching the ducks & eating ice cream. We waited outside in a socially distanced line. Everyone had masks on inside. They had MANY flavors of ice cream & a couple seasonal sundaes. My husband got a pumpkin pie sundae & I got a scoop of cinnamon ice cream in a waffle cone (it was huge). This cost $11.35 (for reference). We both loved our ice cream we also loved sitting watching the ducks, as well.…

Stopped in during the latter part of the COVID outbreak. No tours available at that time but still a great place for ice cream. Reasonable prices for delicious ice cream and grounds are beautiful. Definitely a worth the visit if you are traveling through the area.

We had a great time at the annual ice cream festival, lots of vendors, plenty of things to do and see, and best of all the ice cram, and being able to watch it being made.
