- dorset-harvestDorset, United Kingdom81 contributionsWorth a visitWe were recommended to visit here by the hotel concierge and are really pleased we did. Parking is at the base of the cave and then their are 257 steps up the side of the mountain to the cave itself. The cave is very spiritual and has lovely views across the valley. We visited mid week in the off season so all the amenities at the cave were closed.Visited April 2023Travelled with familyWritten 11 April 2023
- MargeRauma, Finland803 contributionsHyvä pysähdyspaikka rotkon reunallaNoin tunnin ajomatkan jälkeen Topilian tunnelin jälkeen sijaitseva luola on näkemisen arvoinen. 250 askelmaa luolalle, mutta näkymät palkitsevat. Luolassa on mukavan viileää. Luolassa lyhyt kävelyreitti, joka on valaistu eli näkee kyllä. Kuvaaminen kuitenkaan kännykällä oikein onnistu. Ei pääsymaksua. Bussiretkeläiset Elafonissiin pysähtyvät monesti myös täällä. Alaosassa ravintola, josta saa mm. tuorepuristettua appelsiinimehua lasi 3.50e tai puolen litran pullo 5e.Visited August 2023Travelled with familyWritten 9 August 2023
- Szilvia TBudapest, Hungary4 contributionsA memorable trip with wonderful energiesA beautiful path leads to the cave. Leave the car at the foot of the mountain, from there a winding staircase leads to the cave. The view is fantastic, the different plants on the mountainside are amazing, you can walk around the inside of the cave, there is a small path leading through it. You can comfortably see everything. It's fantastic, well worth a visit.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 September 2023
- NickofSurreySurrey, United Kingdom700 contributionsUnexpectedStopped here on an organised coach trip to Elafonisi. Expected some tiny hermits cave,so had a coffee at the tavern/cafe next to the road before discovering we had to pant up 257 steps. The cave was very large. No idea as to the history of it but a nice place to spend a few minutes and worth a stop. The cafe sells bottles of orange juice which tasted lovely and very refreshing. Recommend both.Visited September 2023Travelled with familyWritten 15 September 2023

There’s a path round the inside of the cave which makes it easy to walk around. Definitely recommend.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 18 October 2023

The views around were wonderful and the cave with its stalagmites was awesome. We loved it and recommend to go there.

The steps up to the caves were a hard slog but well worth the effort once you get to the cave, plus there is a small gift shop and cafe on the way up where you can take a rest. The views across the country side from the cave were amazing and inside the cave was fascinating, it was well worth the climb up the steps.

Brilliant stop off on the way back from elafonissi. Lovely climb up the hill and surprisingly deep cave, can see new stalagmites forming. Use a torch to look around. And is free!

It's a glorified hole in the wall. A pretty sizeable "cave" but not deep or mysterious in any way.
Upside, it's free and on the way to Elafonisi beach.

There are stalactites, stalagmites, something that looks like an altar, few paintings, pigeons and plenty of pigeons' faeces. It stinks inside of the cave. In my opinion, not worth seeing.
