What an eclectic mix of old and new, grandeur and opulence, as well as properties that have been neglected a bit and are in need of some TLC ... I was pressed for time so drove around, however would have loved to get out and wander by foot. If you are an architecture lover or history buff, this is a... More

This area of homes is exquisite. It is truly a treasure in Toledo, OH. I am a Realtor in the Toledo and surrounding areas and have had the pleasure of showing quite a few homes in the area. It is always breathtaking walking in to these mansions for the first time. I give so much credit to the homeowners who... More

We stayed with a couple in a completely restored 1895 magnificent home. I am from Detroit (not suburbs) and am both familiar with and comfortable in the mixed neighborhoods. I used mixed to mean every possible take, ethnic, homes of grandeur restored and many yet in need of grandeur restored. I was smitten. It is only one mile to the... More

Old West End Fest '16 was a perfect opportunity to come here. There are so many incredible homes in so many varieties of styles, it's almost unreal. LOTS of walking as there are MANY blocks of these homes.

If you like historic architecture and find yourself in Toldeo, the Old West End is definitely worth a walking tour. It has a surprisingly large assortment of stunning, grand, ornate, and distinctly varied Victorian homes. So much history forms the backbone of this old gritty town. Its heyday is long past, but its past is rich. The place I lived... More

The homes in the Old West End are mainly from the Victorian period. It is well worth a drive or walk through the beautiful streets. Every year, during the first weekend in June, is the Old West End Festival. A selection of houses are open for touring, there is an art fair, food vendors, and music. Also, every year on... More
