We decided to go to the zoo on the Saturday after Thanksgiving which happened to be the big OSU/UM game. It was wonderful! There were very few people there and the animals were incredibly active. We received lots of personal attention and got to spend as much time as we wanted at each exhibit.

Christmas? In Toledo? At a loose end for entertainment? Head straight for Toledo Zoo to be wowed by the Xmas light extravaganza. 5,000,000 lights make up this wonderland of colour, art & music. We spent a couple of hours slowly wandering through this magical display. Takes a break in the Carnivore Cafe & buy a memento in the gift shop.... More

The zoo lights is quite nice...half of the animal exhibits are still open (aquarium, reptile house, reindeer, arctic animals, giraffe, elephants and other outdoor exhibits though seeing might be a challenge). There are lots of lights with an area set to music for 5 songs. You can meet Santa in the amphibian area and view a talking xmas tree performance,... More

The Toledo Zoo was a great place to visit. The exhibits were extremely well-thought out. There is a lot of really cool buildings and a lot of exhibits indoors. It was cold and wet when we went and we still had a great time.

I've been going to the Toledo Zoo my entire life. It keeps getting better. My kids always have a great time, and they're always doing something new. The Lights Before Christmas are also a must see in November and December. The Zoo becomes entirely different and magical in a unique way

This is one of the most amazing display of Christmas Lights my family has ever seen. They say there was 70 miles of lights but we think much more. Every path we walked was lit up with one breathtaking display after another. My 1 year old granddaughter did not want to leave the display of trees that were synchronized to... More

This zoo is awesome. It just continues to expand and expand. You can feed some of the animals, the new aquarium is wonderful. World class zoo! Of particular interest this visit was the holiday light spectacular. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and Christmas lights were everywhere! If you plan on going for the lights just be aware that you may... More

Have visited this zoo since I was a little girl, it just gets better. They have constantly updated this zoo. Love the polar bears and their habitat. Their Christmas light display is awesome too but go early if you want to view the animals before the lights
