Loved my sailing adventure

Found Captain Jim's listing on Trip Advisor. ...so glad we did! He is such a grand host and gracious captain. His boat reflects his gregarious personality, Smooth sailing and very capable. 3 hour sailings are just right. The husband's got to help with the boat and taking the helm. They loved it! If you want a great, relaxed sail....I promise... More

So I booked a 3 hour cruise for my wife's birthday. I took my 3 kids and son in law. Capt Jim was very personable. Allowed anyone to be as involved as they wanted in sailing. Everyone just had a great time! Would definitely do this again.

We have never been sailing before and "Admiral Jim" provided us with a lovely experience! My husband even got to steer the boat. We highly recommend this trip to couples and small families with children who can sit for 3 hours and just enjoy good conversation, fresh air and sunshine!

Had a great time sailing with captain Jim! It was very relaxing, enjoyable and informative. Probably wouldn't be best for small children (they would be restless) but I would highly recommend for adults. We would definitely do it again.

Easy to find the marina and boat. Captain Jim was knowledgeable about the boat and taught me how to take the wheel and find the wind. Although there wasn't much wind, it was still an enjoyable time. As Captain Jim said, just being on a sailboat is the journey itself.

I see sailboats on Lake Erie all the time. We visit often at a condo that my dad and mom own. THIS WAS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Our son is Autistic and was VERY nervous but Captain Jim was confident and quiet allowing him to settle in. He even got him to sit next to him so I could enjoy the... More

Took a sail with Capt. Jim and his boat. Jim is a really nice guy, and a good sailor. He knows the area very well and also the surrounding islands. While all that is good, there is also the boat to consider. The boat needs some serious serious TLC. Heaven help you if you need to spend any amount of... More

Truly a great experience! Captain Jim is truly a professional and know his ship. We enjoyed a great 8 hours trek with a nice lunch on Middle Bass Island was the perfect get away for our family. Captain Jim encouraged participation in the sailing process....even allowing both my son and I to have some time at the helm. I would... More

My husband, 13 year-old daughter and I took an 8 hour trip to Put In Bay aboard Capt Jim's boat. It was our first time sailing and we loved it! My husband and daughter were able to actually steer the boat and Capt Jim made them feel so capable! I chose to sit, relax, and take pics. Our GPS didnt... More

We arrived 15 minutes early of the proposed time to meet at the marina. Captain Jim was pulling out to leave but noticed us and turned around. He walked over to us and gruffly explained he would be one hour late for his date. He was under the impression that we were to have been there an hour earlier. We... More
