Located in Madison, Ohio about an hour east of Cleveland, Debonne Vineyards...

Located in Madison, Ohio about an hour east of Cleveland, Debonne Vineyards is now the largest estate winery in Ohio, boasting over 175 acres of vines.

Debonne Vineyards central location in the Grand River Valley wine region benefits from a climate moderated by the thermal effects of eastern Lake Erie. Our family commitment to excellence begins in the vineyards and is reflected in the quality of our premium Debonne Vineyards varietals and the original Chalet Debonne blends.

Debonne Vineyards is also the first Ohio winery to open up a micro-brewery, Cellar Rats Brewery.

This was a place that was unlike most places you visit. First, they had such a large establishment. It was like a maze getting around. There was the main area where you ordered food and purchased wine. There were sub-sections where you were able to sample the wine, along with purchasing by a flight, or glass etc;. In addition, they... More

Beautifually maintained grounds and lovely atmosphere indoors. Mini gift shop as you enter for tastings and or for beer tasting. There were tables for food consumption but we had already eaten. Above all my expectations for t his place they offered Wood fired pizzas. Yum, wish I had the room for one. The staff was super helpful and friendly. I... More

We spent a recent Saturday with another couple outside listening to a live band most of the afternoon. We got an Uber ride to and from a local hotel to minimize the risk and so we all could have a great time without a DD or worry about trouble. The wine, service, and atmosphere is wonderful here. Top notch and... More

Good laid back atmosphere. Casual. Live music. College football on. Can't imagine how it would be in the summer!

While driving through Ohio wine country, we decided to stop at Debonne Vineyards. We were interested because they are the oldest vineyard in Ohio and we thought their wines might be well developed. What we found was a place in chaos with rude employees and poor service. It was a very quiet day, hardly anyone around, including service personnel inside... More

The winery building and patio areas are beautiful. The food is not the greatest but it will do if you are hungry.

We stopped by for the first time with 3rd visit to Astabula area. We visited their sister Grand River for lunch several years ago. We like dry so we tried a flight of white and flight of red. We ended up liking 2 whites and 4 reds. The winery itself is big, but beautiful. I am not certain if they... More

This is a great place to pass away the afternoon in a remote setting among the Lake County vineyards. A person can get tasters of wine, glasses of wine, bottles of wine, or even cases of wine. My wife opted for several tasters to go with the light lunch we ordered. This was our first visit and we didn't know... More

We stopped this past Saturday and did a wine tasting. We enjoyed the grounds as much as we did the tasting. We were on to our next winery before the food service was fully open. Next time we may plan on eating lunch while we are here. I liked the amount of space and seating areas. It was not crowded... More
