Two actors, with the help of a number of the audience, tell the tale of the last ship to be built at Sarah Island in Macquarie Harbour. We're introduced to the different people from 1833 -the boatbuilder, the drunk captain, the ship's cat, the convicts who stole the ship, the corporal of the guard, etc. The set is so well... More

What a fantastic hour and a half of fun before going out to dinner. A good yarn with humour and a little history thrown in for good measure. Performed by local players Chris and Xaviour right on the waterfront. Good value And family friendly.

The play was very well put together with great audience participation. A must do in strahan. You can book in advance at the info centre. They thoughtfully provide blankets for the chill winds that blow through the performance space. Sit in ghetto front row if you're shy!

This play was recommended to my friend and I so we went along. It was a fantastic night and we even got called up to help put with a scene, we had an absolute ball and the play was hilarious, constantly having you in stitches as they pick out random audience members and leave it up to them as to... Was not really expecting such a great show however it more than met what we anticipated. A must is to do the tour of Sarah Island first to fully understand the whole story. The principal actor was our tour guide on Sarah Island and together with the play completely brought the tale to life. The actors were absolutely top rate,... More

You first meet Kiah on the World Heritage Cruise as a guide on Sarah Island. Very engaging, jovial and informative part of the cruise. But that is not all. You must meet her and the crew after the cruise at the theatre on the foreshore for an hour and a half of a hilarious historic journey and learn some more... More

Entertaining performance based on historical fact was a nice rounding out for the visit, earlier in the day, to Sarah Island which, as well as its convict connections was also a significant builder of ships from the local Huon pine.
