We enjoyed our cruise today aboard the Harbor Master. The crew was first rate, the boat is brand new, the food at lunch was very good as well as plentiful, and the commentary and walks (about the salmon pens, on Sarah Island and the nature walk) were interesting. Though not spectacularly scenic, (it was cloudy most of the day, and... More

Trip to Hells Gates, Sarah Island with entertaining explanations, and Gordon River with short rainforest walk all lasting about 5 hours plus on fast powerful catamaran with comfortable seats. We paid more for gold seats on upper deck but not sure if this was really necessary. Lunch provided was buffet and adequate. Alcohol not included. Not recommended in bad weather... More

A really excellent day out. The ship is relatively new and very comfortable. We were pleased that we had paid extra for the Premium seats as we had excellent views and lots of space. The ship was however easy to move round and there was lots of outdoor space as it was not fully loaded. Enjoyed all aspects of the... More

WOW!!!! What a fantastic day! Would definately recommend this trip to anybody! An all day fascinating and informative trip on the way to Sarah Island, Hell's Gap and Gordon River. Lunch is provided and anyone can go into the captain's cabin and have a chat. All crew on board were friendly and the food was yummy!

On the spanking new and beautifully appointed vessel "Harbour Master", what a wonderful day out. Everything about this experience was spot-on. The crew, the food, the commentary, the itinerary, the facilities the sights and experiences; just fantastic in all respects. We were perhaps lucky in that the weather was perfect and the vessel wasn't to full capacity, but this experience... More

My wife and I went on this cruise(the Red Boat) a week ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. 6 hours of cruising, with two shore based excursions (if you go to Port Arthur you need to go to Sarah Island also to put what happened at Port Arthur in context). The Ship that Never Was pantomine afterwards at 5:30pm was a... More

Fabulous day cruising Macquarie Harbour, from Strahan out to Hell's Gates, a one-hour guided tour of Sarah Island, a delicious cold buffet lunch, and a one hour cruise up the Gordon River including a half-hour walk through temperate rainforest. Interesting and informative commentary throughout, crew very friendly and helpful. A great day and would highly recommend as a must-do to... More

We took the red boat cruise and chose the top of the range package - it was wonderful and well worth it. The young skipper was from the original family who had started the cruise and although young was very knowledgeable and interesting. It takes you out through Hell's Gate and then back into the Macquarie Harbour, pass the salmon... More

An excellent day out - left at 9 am and not back til after 3 pm. An informative trip with a knowledgeable Captain. We visited Sarah Island for an informative walk about this convict colony island; a walk in the rain forest; sail through Hell's Gate all tis together with a superb buffet lunch, What more could you ask.
