Interesting collection of buildings including barns and a church which formed part of the Brickendon estate which had convict workers. Across the road and up a drive is the house and gardens. Both are included in the admission. As it's near Launceston airport this is a good half day trip to or from the airport

How lucky was I that good friends opted to get married here rather than in Brisbane their hometown. Even better that I stayed in 1 of the adorable little cottages to take in the full wonder of the Estate. Such a charming place to visit, the old buildings are amazing, the little Chapel is beautiful and there are animals galore.... More

The tour of the gardens around this majestic house were beautiful. The house has been looked after by descendents of the original inhabitants. Unfortunately it is not ooen for viewings as it is currently inhabited.

We attended a wedding reception at Brickendon, and have to say it was the most beautiful venue. The buildings and surrounds were lovely and the free ranging animals certainly kept our daughter enthralled.

We visited Brickendon Estate after our stop at the Brickendon farmstead across the road. The gardens they've created there in the families' long residence are amazing! The main house is very beautiful, but as it's a private residence you can't go in. You could easily spend an hour just strolling. So peaceful.

We took interstate visitors here and we all enjoyed the lovely gardens. Very impressive and would go there again.

If you are lucky enough to be invited to see the house gardens then it is a visit well spent in a glorious historic garden but it is polite to remember that this is the family's private grounds and stick to the paths.

A very good experience for us especially we are living in city. We stayed at the Garden Cottage, a cozy, comfortable with well equipped cottage. Felt like home inside and we liked the real fire place very much. Warm & romantic! The animal feeding time in the morning brought us lot of funs too!

A very warm welcome from one of the owners who gave us a comprehensive history of the family estate. The farm buildings were very interesting and the garden at the main homestead were truly beautiful.
