A Tastey Stop
Jun 2021
Presented with a sample of cheeses to try on arrival, it made us want more, so we bought more. Well worth the visit.

KI must-do
May 2021
This is a must-do.
Located close to the airport it’s a convenient last stop.
They will serve you a free tasting plate of their main cheeses with crackers and you are able to purchase wine by the glass or bottle to accompany it.
There is cheese and merchandise to purchase at reasonable prices from the friendly attendant and everything is spotless.

Closed for no reason?
Aug 2020
Five of us were looking forward to visiting this place. It was closed. Okay, there are lots of places closed due to Covid 19 but it seems unnecessary to me to close this place as distancing would be easy (and probably unnecessary due to few tourists at this time of year). Very disappointed. No explanation. No ability to book in. Sad....

Tasty and friendly

We tried all the cheese on offer and then enjoyed 2 glasses of red while savouring a cheese platter. The platter was almost more than we could physically eat....so very generous in its size and flavours....and we got to taste their most expensive cheddar cheese.
Worth a 20-30 min stop to enjoy all the best of the King Island cheeses.

Nov 2019
went to King Island on the Gooney Bird (old DC3) from Essendon airport for a day trip (birthday Present) part of the tour included the King Island Cheese factory. well you get great tasting of all their products which are fantastic, then you can purchase them as well and far cheaper than buying in Coles/Woolworths in Melbourne and they even give you free ice packs to put with your cheeses. Not to be missed if u go to King Island

Udder Delight!

If you love cheese, you have to visit. The cheese is a great price and there’s many samples with free water too. The lady who served us three times was always delightful and helpful. Wish I could visit the shop more often!

Great Cheeses and Lunch
Sep 2019
This most not be missed. A great free cheese tasting area in an upgraded tasting area. Then we had a marvellous lunch of warm Brie. Bought some great tasting cheeses at good prices and had a great chat with the lady who so easily handled the whole operation. Well worth the visit.
