Overview
More
A scenic 90-minute drive south from Hobart, one of southern Tasmania’s must-see attractions. You can walk high above the forest canopy and share the lives of the forest giants from up-close, looking down to the place where the wild waters of the Huon and Picton Rivers mingle. The 600-metre walkway ends at a spectacular cantilevered platform 50 metres above the riverbank, with views extending to the mountains of the World Heritage Area. Further into the forest follow the trail to the 2 swinging bridges or enjoy a peaceful walk along the Huon river, get up close to see young and mature Huon pines growing in their natural riverine rainforest environment. Expolore paddling, drifting and splashing on a raft or kayak through bouncy rapids and quiet stretches of the Picton and Huon River. Enjoy local Tasmanian produce in the cafe. Can't fit it all in one day stay overnight in the lodge, cabin or camp in your motor home. Opening times: October to March 9am – 5pm April to September 10am – 4pm

It’s a bit of a drive to the site on a tricky road. Plenty of parking and the entry fee of $30 is not cheap. However it is a private facility, there are upkeep costs and of course the need for profit. Having said that,...More

This is a great walk and even though it was lightly raining we still enjoyed it. Lunch was also very nice.

Thank you for your opinion of Tahune Adventures. I’m truly sorry our unique attraction did not live up to your expectations. You seem to have confused the Tasmanian National Parks pass with ours and possibly other private Forest attractions. Tahune Adventures is a privately-operated business....More

My two companions and I had booked the Twin River Adventure and we were not disappointed. We were made aware that the rivers are wild and are different on any given day so we did not know what we were in for until we arrived....More

Thank you for great review, we really appreciate it when people take the time to share their experience. I'm yet to do the Twin River Adventure but your story told a great picture. I will pass on your comments to Chris and Ian.

There is wheel chair access, it will be narrow on the air walk but if up for the challenge, it is well worth it. The two suspension bridges are not wheel chair friendly.
