It is such a beautiful lake, the view of cradle mountain is breath-taking. There are many walks around the lake, I did the 1.5 lap to the glazier rock and back, I wish I had a hiking stick it would have helped me a lot. I might have been able to even complete the 2 hour walk at my own... More

A 2 hour easy walk on well laid out and maintained paths. You won't get lost - spectacular views at points right around. Short climbs in a couple of places, most strenuous near the 3/4 mark (going the recommended clockwise direction). The shuttle service was good but the info center food prices are relatively high (recommend bringing lunch & water... More

We walked around the lake late in the afternoon. It is a great trail but not for disabled or small children. Some parts can be hard with quite a few stairs near the end. There are picnic benches along the way and some offshoot tracks to look at the water and views! Take water and snacks and possibly a plastic... More

This place has a lot of people doing the walks and walking around the lake as there are different tracks. So wear walking shoes or sandals and bring your camera. There's a fee to get in and it is a National park

Gentle stroll enjoyed around Dove lake. Ensure you take something to drink/eat with you. Folk around but not too busy, peaceful as expected.

This is a really beautiful walk best done clockwise for the views of Cradle Mountain. We did it on a really hot day and it took us nearly three hours because we kept stopping to enjoy the views and to get a breather. A reasonable level of fitness is needed. On busy days there can be a wait for shuttle... More

Beautiful Lake Dove. Picture perfect. Even the changeable weather couldn't spoil the walk around the lake. In fact it only enhanced it. My wife and I loved the walk, the weather, the scenery and will definitely return to do it again in the future. I hope it remains just as unspoiled.

Easy walk, took us 2 hours. Great place for photos, no toilets on the walk. There is a picnic table half way & a few showers suitable places to stop for a picnic.
