We only decided to visit the Golf Museum at Bothwell because a friend we were travelling with is a keen golfer and we are certainly glad that we did!! It's a little off the main highway to Hobart but certainly contains a significant amount of golfing memorabilia to satisfy even the keenest golfer!! Well worth the dtour to absorb what... More

If you are in Bothwell and have an interest in golf try this museum as it has a nice collection of older golf gear and memorabilia. The staff are friendly and helpful. Buy a few golf souvenirs while you are there.

The Bothwell golf course is the oldest in Australia. Note: it is not the oldest golf club but the oldest golf course. And the museum is a fantastic insight into the history of golf with many artifacts and the guide is there to answer all your questions and give a personalised tour if you wish.

While their is stuff to read and old gear to see it is mainly a historical record of the most successful Tasmanian golfers. Still it is not expensive ($5 a person) manned by volunteers and worth the time to have a look for avid golfers like me.

This place is a little gem. Located in Bothwell, it's been put together by some hard working locals. A lot of interesting historical items and maps of the area. The local golf course I understand is the oldest known course in Australia. If you're in Bothwell, call in and have a look at their golf museum and visitor centre. A... More

If your an addict golfer, this place is for you. Was a walk back in time. Started golf when I was 12 yrs old & i am now 60. Even remember some of clubs I assembled when I was working for Brosnan Golf back in the early 80's

Interesting if you're into golf! They're undergoing renovations at the moment and promise to have more on show in the near future however we weren't disappointed with their current display.

For any golfer this a must. The history of golf at Bothwell with Australia's Oldest Golf Course. The array of old golf clubs and banned clubs is interesting.
