Took the family here not expecting very much as I have been to other historical museums in the past that while interesting were not extensive. This place was both. Interesting and extensive. Plenty of room to run around in for the young children. Broad diverse array in the displays. All set out very well. Food and toilets provided. Important with... More

This takes me back, I spent all my school life in Inverell and the Pioneer Village was just down the road, great historical features

A huge collection of memoribillia, machines, buildings. Can't believe the amount of items they have collected. The work in rebuilding and restoring the buildings on site would of been so extensive. Quite unexpected.

Wide variety of information relating to time gone by. Great history for groups. School groups would love a day here.

Definitely worth a stop and look at the Pioneer Village, see how things were done in yester year and appreciate our ancestors and the struggles they faced ..

An easy way to fill in a couple of hours - just the thought of the time, effort and organisation to develop what is a pretty amazing collection gives pause for thought. Many of the buildings were totally disassembled, transported to this site and then reassembled for display. There are thousands of individual items in the various buildings adding to... More

This village surprised us as we found much more than expected. There is so much to see, being cared for by a small team of volunteers. Well worth a stop

We visited the Pioneer Village in Inverell about a week ago as part of our drive around Australia. Visiting friends in the area and seeing what we missed 11 years ago on our first trip through Australia the village was something we were glad we were able to see this time around. The whole place is well set up, lots... More

The Pioneer Village holds a wonderful collection of historical buildings from the local Inverell area. My Great Grand parents were married at The Grove building when it was situated along the Bundarra Road, in the mid 1800's, out from Tingha in New South Wales. The building was moved to the current position in the village. All exhibits are so well... More
