Food lovely, friendly staff. Good value, beats Wetherspoons. We had lunch week here one Saturday as Wetherspoons was busy,a terrific find. Go there regularly now a good find as my wife can't eat gluten and they stock her bread. She doesn't feel such an outcast.

Visited for the second time in a month. Good hot well priced tasty meal an a pint of Fosters. Quite busy, but reasonable wait. Back ground music and unabtrusive TV with subtitles. Will definately be back again.

Was served tea with a dirty used looking cup and to top it of it took 10 minutes to get milk. The staff were very friendly though.

What used to be a great little pub has taken a dramatic decline over the last few years. On quite a few occasions the wait for food is about half hour (Wetherspoons now offer a 10 minute guarantee), the food has also been cold, and...More

A crowd of us from Scotland down for the weeked visited this place on Friday and were enjoying ourselves, until a mysterious company policy was thrown at us in not accepting Scottish Banknotes. A serious mistake by the Sutton Arms as dozens of us vacated...More

To be asked if we were Scottish, then told that they would not accept Scottish bank notes was shocking treatment. I cannot believe that a pub from one of the UK’s biggest chains treated its customers in this manner. Is this Greene King company policy?
