Visiting Hampton Court has been on my bucket list for many years - I finally made it and I wasn't disappointed. Visitors are given pocket sized maps- one for the "interiors" and one for the gardens. It's a bit like a tardis - in as much as it is much bigger than you expect. We spent about 4 hours here,... More

My family (husband, two 20+ year old children, me) visited Hampton Court Palace a few weeks ago as part of our one week trip to London. It was an easy British Rail train ride from London (follow the directions on the Palace website) using our Oyster cards (Zone 6 fare, I think). Once we got there, it was a 10... More

First time ive visited. The palace is very grand, beautiful manicured gardens. It wasnt particularly cheap to get in at the cheapest price of £20.90 for an adult. I didnt get to go all the way around so pleanty of time is needed as there is lots to see you probaly need at least 3 hrs.

An interesting place to visit, you can take your time and absorb the history of the building, its like a step back in time and you can imagine yourself taking part in the various historical times.

Excellent tour finding all about the young Henry VIII, and the history of the palace. Learned a lot. You need a whole day to see everything, but the palace is beautiful if ostentatious. The gardens are beautiful too, and well worth a visit and we had fun getting lost in the maze.

Hampton Court Palace is a huge palace, make sure you have decent walking shoes and time on your side as there is so much to see and discover. Get a map of the palace and an audio to keep you up to date with information .....even down to the curtains on the windows. Make sure you also look up ....at... More

Buy Oyster Pass most days you are in London to get around.Easy train ride from Waterloo Station.Excellent audio guides and also occasional reenactments. Quite an intimate look at the lives and times of Henry VIII, William and Mary, and more. Allow at least 3 hours.

This place is not inexpensive so save enough time to make the most of it! Remember it closes at 5:30 so arrive early. This was the home of Henry VIII and some other kings. In addition to the buildings there is a HUGE maze, amazing gardens, tennis courts (closed in winter so we missed it in mid-March!), and of course... More

Had a nice day out. It isn't particularly suited to those with mobility difficulties as there are lots of steps to contend with which are uneven and there is much to see on the upper floors. Once up a level it is fairly flat. The grounds are vast and beautiful and extremely well kept and for me I'd had rather... More
