Re-opened in 2010, the Centre incorporates the former Bass Museum and tells the story of the birthplace of british beer, its people and the history of brewing in the UK. Our tour guides offer daily tours at 11.00am and 2.00pm each day and really bring the story to life. Sample some of the excellent real ales brewed at the Centre's Worthington Micro Brewery or enjoy a bar meal or a full flagon banquet in our restaurant with a beer and food guide to help you appreciate the flavours of beer. The Centre's corporate and function rooms (and our 400 capacity permanent marquee) are set in the historic brewery buildings and offer a great venue for your company function, weddings, parties and social gatherings.

A amazing museum going through the history of the brewing industry in the UK, from the middle ages up to the current day. The museum goes through the whole process as to how beer is made, and the development of beer and the processes, different brewing related machines to see, displays on how coopering was done, including the tools, a... Being in the area we call in on advice this was an interesting place and well worth a visit. The guided tour is an advantage. The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke well. At the end a beer either 1 pint or three 1/3's of a pint were included in the price. The shire horses were well received and friendly... More

Visited centre, looking for Burton Shires. Guided tour rushed through anything to do with Shires, therefore the visit for us was not what was expected

Sorry you missed out on longer contact with our shires. You can revisit the museum and stables after the guided tour and spend more time with the groom and shires and you can get as much time as you wish. More

Visited today with my family for the Easter family fun weekend, staff from the start were lovely, even down to the lady filling the toilet rolls in the loo! Lots to do for the kids from magic shows, pony rides and face painting. So great for the family with having two young children, most of the day being free only... More

What a great place to visit. You can either walk round on your own but I would recommend taking one of the guided tours especially if you are lucky enough to get Ian. He was great fun and involved everyone in his stories about how beer was brewed. He was very knowledgeable about how some of the sayings used today... More

Great if you're into your beer but maybe not to everyone's taste, very interesting, missed the tour guide but caught a but of his talk at the end which was really good. Inky quibble is your beer tokens allow you 1 pint or 3x third of a pint but not t 2 halves 🤔

A very enjoyable visit, with two young children. Whilst it was a very informative museum there were also plenty of buttons to press and things to do that kept the little ones entertained throughout. The icing on the cake was the Brewery Tap, with 3 beer samples per adult, and 3 drinks per child included in the ticket price, and... More

My husband has a love of beer, as most men do, and being so close to the national brewery centre it was only right we went for a visit. To be honest i wasn't expecting much, but it was actually a lovely experience. You can walk around the museum on your own or with a tour guide. We had a... More

Entrance fee includes a guided tour and free tasting at the pub afterwards. As well as the excellent tour there are lots of things you can revisit on your own afterwards. There are several vintage vehicles, shire horses and lots of brewery memorabilia. Very interesting and enjoyable visit.
