We took the kids to Alton Towers as a surprise weekend away. They totally loved did. Lucky for us we had good fortune on our side and never waited longer than 30 minutes for any ride. Most rides we waited between 10-15 minutes for with...More

I love the big rides. Can't fault them really. For the UK they're the best except for perhaps Swarm at Thorpe Park. However i find the signs that are supposed to help you find things utterly useless. Signs for toilets seem to point you one...More

It's been a while since I've visited Alton Towers, probably around 7 years when I was still both child and care free. I do remember that the place held a certain magical charm that kept me coming back for more and I don't remember having...More

Great day out. Good rides. The loading and unloading of rides is slow and amateurish, not a patch on the American parks. CBeebies land was full Of queues that didn't need to be there - it shouldn't take 3 minutes to load a 1 minute...More

Hello. Does anyone know if you can come out of the park at anytime.. like if I left my lunch/wallet/bag in my car can I go out and get it then return to the park or do you have to stay in there and use a locker for your stuff? Also little confused with tickets- I'm buying a 2 day ticket online, do I print out the Ref number in exchange for a ticket on the day? and the second day I go, do I just use the same ticket? or do you get 2? Sorry for so many questions Thank you

Not to sure about the merlin pass, but to purchase the usual way, cold refillable cups were £7 (then free refills all day), and hot refillable cups were £5 (but then an additional £1 for every refill for hot drinks).
