A well maintained and marked path from Risboro to Thame- better suited for hybrid type tyres- definitely not for skinny road tyres. Walkers and cyclists seem to be able to share the space with no problems. Good safe family rising between these two places.

I’ve walked & cycled the Phoenix trail many times. It runs to the south of Thame across to Princes Risborough for 6 miles. It is pretty flat as it was the old railway line and is smooth tarmac for the majority except near Risborough. Half way...More

Excellent for running cycling and walking. Early mornings in spring and summer are so good. Especially watching the sunrise.

Easy to cycle level path through countryside. However, after the long spell of dry weather the untarmaced track had turned to dust and our bikes where covered in chalky dust by the end of the trip.

A mostly dead straight tarmacked path where the railway line used to run. Elevated in places. A quiet safe place to walk away from traffic and close to nature. Be alert for cyclists

Great place to walk, as far as you wish, plenty of places to leave the trail. Sharing the walk with other walkers, cyclists and horses, everyone says hello, it’s very friendly.

An easy trail for all levels and ages. Some sections involve main roads and not the best signage about. Had to use google maps for directions at times. Good few pubs near by. Worth doing.

A very nice and easy place to walk, good hard surface to walk along, was an old railway line, some pleasant scenes along the way. Lots of cyclists but everyone was polite. A nice walk.

7 miles of hard surface for walkers/cyclists and horses. From Thame, via Towersey to (almost) Princes Risborough. One of the great SUSTRANS charity installations complete with some unique sculptures. We are lucky to have it available for no cost to users

I normally start from Morton Lane, Thame. Then cycle towards Princes Risborough,, bit boring at first and often feels cold in the section before you reach the Thame by-pass. Then open countryside, very nice ride, you can stop off in Towersey, small cafe at the...More

Parking depends on the time and day you go, and at what point you intend to join the trail. At the end nearest the Lord Bill's Upper School in Thame, you could try parking in the school's top car park near the main road on a... More
