I visited here with my family whilst we were on holiday in Berwick, and although it's pretty much just ruins now, it was fascinating to see inside the parts that we could and try to imagine how it used to look.

Lovely walk around the town with the children today. Amazing to walk down to the castle ruin and imagine how it all might of been in its day.

Jus a short walk from the Town centre, of Berwick, where you can cross this historic bridge by foot to Tweedmouth. Although I didn’t cross over the bridge into Tweedmouth, myself I am sure there are places to explore whilst there.

Walking the Elizabethan walls surrounding Berwick upon Tweed is a walk into history with information boards at key points along the walls. You can also follow the Lowry trail, the artist painted several views around the town and surrounding areas. History, culture and splendid views?

We walked the ramparts on a warm Sunday afternoon and it was a lovely couple of hours with a stop-off at one of the volunteer staffed museums along the way. The views are stunning and you might even see some harbour seals or dolphins. Berwick...More
