Had a wonderful time walking along this beach. Up and down through the sand dunes. The sand is so clean and light in colour. The views up to the castle are amazing. If you're into photography then this is a must.

An amazing beach that offers something for everyone. Clean beach and sea, fantastic views of the castle and Farne Islands, sand dunes to explore, dogs allowed, rock pooling and in developed. Perfect!

What a great place to stop in and relax for a bit. The water is clean and the beach is huge. The views of the castle and the point are amazing!

Good clean sand, mix of soft dunes and harder sand to aid walking. Easy access before and after castle to make a circular walk. Great way to see outside of castle and keep kids entertained.

Low tide and a little girl build a sand Bamburgh castle. Very quiet on the beach, lovely sun set and a fantastic green hill with a bench. A "must to to"!

Clean beach with acres of golden sands. Very popular with dog owners. When we visited, parking near the castle was free because the pay-and-display machines had not been converted to accept the new pound coins.

Hi Michael The access to the beach is not good for a wheelchair. There is a boardwalk for part of the way from the green but petters out once you reach the dunes. Hope you enjoy your visit and your son does too.
