The Alnwick Garden is a lovely place to visit for a relaxing walk. The garden is very big, offers a lot to see from secret gardens to a beautiful huge water feature right in the middle of everything. I visited once quite a while back and couldn't remember much about it so I'm pleased I decided to go back. The... More

We all loved the gardens and had a great time. We stood in the water display and got soaked which wasn't sensible of us at this time of the year but just added to our fun

Stopped in for an early evening skate at the gardens. Staff were excellent, looked after us well and talked us through the procedure very well, they even took festive photos with a 'snowy' sky. Skating was on plastic, so not as good as ice, but was good fun anyway. There were penguins for the younger kids to keep their balance.... More

The Gardens at Alnwick are modern, which was something of a surprise for me, having been devised only in the 1990s by the Duchess. They are dominated by a vast waterfall in the centre which sends hundreds of litres of water down multiple levels. There are separate cherry orchards, an ornamental garden at the top of the waterfall, and lots... More

Lovely visiting during the run up to Christmas. Brass Band playing and the tour round the Poison Garden was extremely interesting. Fabulous Christmas market also.

What a lovely place to visit for the afternoon. Really interesting things to see and do. Really enjoyed the water sculptures. The only negative we saw was the "ice" rink. It's a gimmick that may entertain younger visitors but I think it's wrong to advertise it as an opportunity to skate.

Alnwick Gardens is a wonderful place to spend a day with family of all ages. From toddlers to grandparents. The interactive water sculptures are fascinating and there are so many wonderful nooks and surprises. We are usually the last to leave. Our teenager even forgets to be grumpy at the gardens.
