Very poor really in such a great marketplace. About 6 stalls, no local meat, fish, cheese or vegetables. Nice fudge maker but that's not enough. Probably better (couldn't be worse) when they have special markets such as Christmas.

Visited here whist shopping in Alnwick, what an excellent market. We bought fresh products including black pudding & haggis they were very good. Will make sure we visit again when we are in the area on holiday.

A good variety of stalls in the town square. We enjoyed some vegetarian snacks from a Greek food van. Great roasted vegetable and feta wrap and great value spinach pie.

Not enough stalls in my opinion. Sometimes as little as 8 and there is no market place buzz considering it is in the Market Place. This might be because there are already a lot of good independent shops like butchers, ironmongers, florists, cafes, craft shops and the brilliant Barter Books.

The market on a sunny Saturday just before the Bank holiday consisted of approximately thirteen (unlucky for some) stalls selling.....not very much!! It's a real shame because this should be a bustling market that people want to travel to and should be an attraction in the same league as the castle. Alnwick as a whole seems to have given up.

Got to say this was a real let down only about 8 stalls , selling pretty poor quality goods no local food produce or crafts , good job Barters books was open as to be honest the only thing in Alnwick worth visiting shopping wise.

Such a charming market with the banter from the locals, so many lovely things I wish I could have bought so many but sadly so many all out of our budget as the locals had over priced a lot feeling they are worth more?

As a retired couple and already living in Northumberland we know Alnwick well and have visited it over the years. After our visit yesterday we will not go back in a hurry. The place is dirty and run down. The bus station is in a terrible state and the children from the local high school show disrespectful behaviour to the visitors using the... From flowers to pictures to pies you can find everything you need at Alnwick market. Right in the main square combine it with a trip to the Castle or to Barters Books for a great day out with the family.
