Daventry Country Park is a popular park ideally situated in the urban fringe of Daventry with circular, way marked and hard-surfaced trails through woodlands, meadows and close to the reservoir with wheelchair accessible bird hides to stop and view the wildlife. With its large reservoir where you can feed the ducks, adventure playground, numerous picnic spots, nature trail and a wealth of wildlife, Daventry Country Park is a great family day out.

My 9 yr old daughter and I love it here. A couple of hours in the park playing on the free rides, a feed of the ducks, a paddle in the lake and always finished off with an ice cream from the café. All well...More

Visited park with better half for a few hours. Parking was £2 for the whole day but wasn't the clearest or easiest to see on the notice board. Had a walk partly around the lake and saw plenty of runners, dog walkers or people just...More

Love the park itself and so much for the children to do, but avoid the café for the following reasons:- Have ordered previously really simple things, that have taken an age to arrive, even when they are not busy Today ordered a £1.75 ice-cream for...More

A lovely walk, with plenty to look at, viewing areas and benches dotted around the route. Wheelchair users will be fine to the cafe but struggle around the walkways as they are stoned/gravelled and uneven.

I have been to Daventry Country Park several times in May , mainly to go running, as it is a truly enjoyable green space on the edge of Daventry within walking distance of many local housing estates and the town centre. There is plenty of...More

Very lovely park to go for a walk. Really nice to visit. It's great to go if the weather is good. Onsite cafe and toilets. The park has a really nice river. I would definitely go back again.

On our way back from Banbury on May Day we called into Daventry Country Park ......a nice walk around part of the lake , which is close to the children's play area and the sensory garden. There is also a shop and information centre

I walk my dog here weekly and it is lovely. The view varies from the wooded shaded path, beautiful meadow, to the open area at the top of the reservoir. Plenty of wildlife to see. My only complaint is there are no dog mess bins....More

There are lots of people when it's busy with dogs. So i would say to keep ur dog on lead when you are the main paths. There is a meadow walk that does not look like many use u might be able to let ur dog off there.

Yes, the visitors centre was the reservoirs keepers cottage and was built prior to 1900. We don't any further information on the building or it's residents but would be interested to know more.
