For a small entrance fee, you get to explore this wonderful lake and its surroundings. It is really back to nature, with no shop, cafe or toilet, but well worth it for the views and exercise!!

It's amazing how great this place is to visit compared to how many people there were there. It's almost deserted. Great place for adventuring with kids.

We came here with the family ranging from young children to grandparents. We all enjoyed the picturesque walk around the lake and the kids especially loved climbing the rocks and exploring. There were little log dens dotted about and I'm sure when the Rhododendrons are...More

Off the beaten track, but well worth a visit. As you approach the start you are high up in the rock formation above a large lake. Take the rouble to find your way down and the view is well worth it.

Went here many years ago before you had to pay to go in! Still very beautiful and quirky sort of place. Kids love exploring all the nooks and crannies etc. We were lucky with the weather, which will make a big difference.

Hidden gem on the outskirts of Harrogate. Lovely setting for a peaceful walk or a picnic. Plenty of space to explore and enjoy nature in all its glory. Would recommend sturdy footwear to make the most of the opportunity.

An amazing place and anyone who rates this lower than a 5, obviously has no capacity to appreciate it's unique and extremely interesting nature. This idyllic location, consists of rocky plateau, which is covered with trees, which overlooks a man made lake, that is achieved...More

Think it's only open March to October and then only at weekends and bank holidays. Think it's staffed by volunteers but definitely worth a visit 👍
